2000 Album

Two pages and the cover from the 2000 Album of stamps published by the Swiss post office (Die Post/La Poste/La Postea). 8-3/8" x 5-7/8" x 3/8", with one page showing single mounted specimens for all the stamp sets issued in 2000. There is additional text for these examples that I do not show here.

Traditionally each year they include a 'Vignette', which is a special issue only available in the album. Since the embroidered stamp was such a big development, 2000's vignette was another embroidery of a similar lace design. It does does not have a sticky backing, has no denomination, and is not cut to size, so it can't be used as a stamp. It does clearly show the type of material used for the embroidery - a very thin, sturdy polyester satin wave fabric.

Even if there are no lace-related stamps, the yearly Swiss albums are absolutely wonderful; a very high quality product.
